Feiras Novas de Ponte de Lima 2026

From September 9th to 14th, 2026, Ponte de Lima will once again celebrate the Feiras Novas, the great Limian pilgrimage and one of the most emblematic festivals of the Minho region. In 2026, the celebration takes on a special meaning: it marks the 200th anniversary of the Feiras Novas, a history that dates back to the royal decree of May 5th, 1826, linked to the devotion to Our Lady of Sorrows and the holding of three days of annual fair.

Over six days, the town is filled with music, tradition, faith, folklore, accordions, philharmonic bands, folk groups, processions, giant figures and big-headed characters. Between the historic center, Largo de Camões, Expolima, the Main Church and the streets of the town, Ponte de Lima transforms into a large popular stage, where collective memory and celebration meet day and night.
